For over 10 years ABP have specialised in providing remotely operated vehicles for Explosive Ordinance Devices (EOD) and Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) purposes. AB Precision has designed, manufactured and installed Postal Sorting Equipment for a number of major postal contracts.

Guardian is the latest Miniature Remotely Operated Vehicle (MROV) from AB precision.  It is operated from a case style Base Station via either a radio or fibre optic link. With Guardian a bespoke soft key control system has been developed to make the job intuitive, simple and above all safe. Using the combination of soft controls and joysticks the operator can easily switch between functions without compromising driving ability. Vehicle features include two pairs of highly versatile tracked modules, turntable, extending boom and a pan and tilt head. Also a fibre optic spooler is carried on the rear of the vehicle and comes in either passive or active options.

Experience gained from working as a defence contractor has provided expertise in areas including echo sounders, submarine sonar and portable underwater telephones.  A team of systems and electromechanical engineers can carry out services, such as defect investigation, systems interfacing and design change.
