A vacancy has arisen for an Electro/Mechanical Design Draughtsperson to work in our busy Drawing Office.

The office is engaged in support and design of new projects for the supply/installation of defence related Marine, Naval and Met Systems which we design and supply for use throughout the world.

This position requires a proven record of experience in a similar industrial environment with particular experience in Drawing Office practices. Current use of AutoCAD and SolidWorks with knowledge of defence and naval standards desirable, together with a working knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing and BS58888 drawing procedures.

The preferred candidate will have a flexible attitude to work, including design, detailing, MRP systems, with experience of wiring schedules, change notes etc, ability to use office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Access) needed.

Candidate will need to be efficient, self motivated and capable of working unsupervised.

Often the best way to do this is to simply tell the story of what happened, in detail without 'digesting' it. However, it's easy to wind up describing something achieved by your team rather than by you. So remember: it's you we want to hire. If you can, give us detail that demonstrates your personal involvement. A couple of examples should be enough.

It may be that the examples you want to give involve more than one section. Use the space in any way that is convenient and then cross-reference to make sure we don't miss anything. And we don’t expect you to have every quality. We’re looking for humans not superheroes.
